Matthew Reilly's latest release is a dystopian YA novel set in Manhattan's Upper East Side amid the rumours of an impending global apocalypse.
The story follows Skye Rodgers and her twin brother Red, who have just moved from Tennessee to live among the elite in the apartments surrounding New York's Central Park.
Skye and Red find themselves invited to join an exclusive gang known as the Secret Runners of New York, who have access to an underground portal that transports them to an alternate New York, in the future.
I found myself completely immersed in this gripping tale and I couldn't put it down. Think Gossip Girl meets end-of-the-world. Highly recommend this book.
