Where's Wally Instagram Photo Booth

Pop by the CBL Photo Booth during Book Week. Dress up in the Where's Wally costume and hold the Instagram frame. Snap a photo with our Instax Mini and take home your photo.

Book Week 2019 - Reading is my Secret Power

Writing Competition

Students are encouraged to enter the CBL Book Week Creative Writing Competition.

Use this image as inspiration and write a piece of creative writing on the theme "Reading is my Secret Power".

Entries can be emailed through to rbyrne@riverview.nsw.edu.au by Friday 23rd August.

Wide Reading Activity

 

During Book Week Wide Reading classes will begin their reading period with a Book Quiz incorporating this year's theme, Reading is my Secret Power. 

Book Trailer Competition

The library is running a Book Trailer Competition as part of this year's Book Week celebrations. To enter, create a book trailer for a YA book. The length of the book trailer should be between 45 and 90 seconds. Email entries to snrlibrary@riverview.nsw.edu.au. Competition closes midnight Friday 23rd August 2019.

Black Cockatoo by Carl Merrison & Hustler Hakea

DISCOVER YOUR TOTEM

Students from SIEP will listen to a reading of Black Cockatoo by Carl Merrison and Hakea Hustler. Students will identify an animal as their totem and outline the characteristics of their personality that are reflected in their totem. They will complete the task by drawing a picture of themselves with or as their totem.

This Book Changed My Life

In six words, Year 12 students are asked to complete the statement "This book changed my life because..."  Keep an eye out around the college for their responses.
