These days, very little comes out of Hollywood without special effects added in post-production. Our favourite superhero movies, science fiction thrillers and fast-paced action movies just wouldn't be the same without them. However, these video effects are no longer the preserve of video professionals. Technology has advanced quickly, and you can now use green screen effects on your iPad. Here's how.

BEFORE YOU START:
There are a number of things you need in order to use green screen effects on iPads. Some are optional, but the essentials are:
Additional items you might want to consider could include a sturdy tripod and an iPad frame like the Padcaster or Makayama Movie Mount to secure the iPad while shooting your video. You might also consider some studio lighting to light your background, or an external microphone to improve your audio. However, these are optional items and may not be possible given your budget, space or time requirements.
