Online Book Clubs

Struggling to find something to read? Too many choices but not enough time?? Why not have a look at what these famous and bonafide bookworms recommend. From feminist literature to business and environmental non-fiction recommendations, you are sure to find something! Most of these sites also have an online book club.  These are a really great way to broaden your reading horizons, chat to other literary lovers and is also a great social outlet (even if the social here is social-media social). Oprah's Book Club

July 2021 pick is The Sweetness of Water by Nathan Harris. Click on the image to get the long list of previous book club recommendations.

Barack Obama's Summer Reading List

Now an annual tradition, the former President releases his Summer Reading List each July.  

SJP Picks

Book Club Central was an initiative from the American Library Association established in 2017. They awarded the first and honorary chair to Sarah Jessica Parker. This position ran for two years. Click on the image to look at the books chosen by Sarah Jessica Parker during that time.

Reese Witherspoon Book Club

July 2021 pick is The Paper Palace by Miranda Cowley Heller. Don't forget to check out Reese's Young Adult recommendations as well!

Belletrist

July 2021 pick is Animal by Lisa Taddeo. Emma Roberts and her friend Karah Priess created the Belletrist book community in 2017. This year they have launched interactive (paid) online content that includes interviews with authors, virtual book communities. 

Emma Watson's Book Club

In 2016, Emma Watson started a bi-monthly bookclub highlighting feminist novels and female authors. Watson's aim was to create a community that was able to discuss powerful work that's had a profound impact on society. Emma has now stepped back but the community continues to thrive!
