Biography & Bibliography

Robert Muchamore was born in London in 1972. He still lives there, and worked as a private investigator up until 2005 and the critically-accepted release of Maximum Security

Robert was inspired to create the CHERUB series by his nephews' complaints about the lack of anything for them to read. CHERUB: The Recruit was Robert's first book and won the Red House Children's Book Award 2005 in the Older Readers Category.
Robert Muchamore has written 17 books as part of the CHERUB series.

The HENDERSON'S BOYS is a spin-off series of the CHERUB series that follows Charles Henderson, the creator of the fictitious CHERUB organisation. The novels are set between 1940 and 1945, during the Nazi occupation of France in WWII. Throughout the novels, Henderson leads a series of war missions, aided by children.

The release of Rock War series took Robert's career in a new direction, with a four-book saga telling the story of four groups of kids who want to make it big in the music business.

MUCHAMORE ON KILLER T After writing twenty-eight series books, it felt like time to write my first standalone! Partly, it was because I wanted the challenge of writing something different. Partly, I was inspired by two of my favourite YS books. Malorie Blackman's Noughts & Crosses and Melvin Burgess' Junk. While those two books have very different subjects, both are epic stories that follow a teenage couple as they grow and change over several years. Killer T is my attempt to do the same, following Charlie and Harry's relationship as gene editing technology and synthetic viruses start radically altering the world in which we live. - Robert Muchamore
